PrestaShop 1.7 to 9 migration inventory

PrestaShop 1.7 has received no fixes since 10 June 2025. The next question is always the budget, and the answer is not in your PrestaShop version: it is in your modules and your overrides.

This template builds that inventory with you, then hands it back as a usable table. Nothing is sent anywhere: everything is computed in your browser.

What this template does not do It does not scan your shop remotely and connects to nothing. It formats what you enter and applies the official end-of-support dates. It is a scoping tool, not an audit.

1. Your platform

Both figures are in your back office: the PrestaShop version at the bottom of the home page, the PHP version in the configuration information.

2. Your modules

Enter only installed modules, active or not. The only column needing a little research is the third: it is filled from the module page at its publisher, a few minutes per line.

3. What each verdict means

Verdict What it means for your migration
PrestaShop 9 version available A simple update line. The cheapest pile, and often the largest
Not announced, publisher active Write to them now. Their answer, and above all their date, drives your schedule far more than the technical work
Publisher unreachable Replacement, with data carry-over and sometimes settings. This is the pile that blows budgets when nobody saw it coming
Inactive module Not a migration subject, just files to remove. Better done beforehand, it reduces the exposed surface

4. What still has to be listed by hand

Two things do not fit in a module table and weigh heavily all the same. Your overrides, meaning the custom code layered on top of PrestaShop, where you need to know who wrote it and why. And your theme: a maintained, documented theme generally simplifies the migration without making it free, while an old theme edited directly in its files needs a specific audit.

Current as of 9 September 2026

The end-of-support dates used by this tool come from the official PrestaShop documentation and the PHP version pages. This page is dated and reviewed, like our other resources.

For the full reasoning behind this inventory, read the article: your PrestaShop 1.7 no longer receives any security fix. If your list includes modules whose publisher has vanished, or if you are weighing migration against a rebuild, let’s talk with your table in hand.
